IMPROVE INFRASTRUCTURE
York County is blessed with growth and opportunity. However, infrastructure must be in place prior to new construction on new developments to avoid more traffic congestion. A better quality of life for all of us starts by not spending half our day in the car stuck in traffic.
PROTECT TAXPAYERS
As a small business owner, eliminating wasteful spending is one of my top priorities. I will ask the tough questions on county council and never forget that my first responsibility is to taxpayers.
PRESERVE QUALITY OF LIFE
York County is a great place to live, work, and raise a family - let's keep it that way! Focusing on economic development will help us sustain our quality of life. I also want to see leadership on public safety, affordable housing, and parks/recreation.
INCREASE TRANSPARENCY
Fiscal responsibility and fiscal transparency go hand-in-hand. York County residents deserve to know how their tax dollars are being spent. Further, I will focus on improving communications with local governments and school boards.

Where do you hope to see York County in 10 years? In 20 years? In 30 years? These are the questions our elected officials should be answering. With the community's input, York County can create, publish, and get to work on plans for improvement, jobs, and growth.
ABOUT WATTS HUCKABEE
Watts Huckabee is a Rock Hill native and proven leader in York County. In 2014, the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce named Watts its "Small Business Person of the Year."
Following graduation from Winthrop University in 1989, Watts began his career in 1990, focusing on insurance, employee benefits, and financial planning. In addition to founding Carolinas Insurance and Investment Group, Watts is a partner in The Service Center & Muffler Master in Rock Hill. He is also an investor in The Pump House Restaurant as well as a drone company that films aerial footage for CBS & FOX Sports.
Watts' civic experience includes service to the Upper Palmetto YMCA, the Rock Hill Kiwanis, and Winthrop University's Board of Trustees.
Huckabee is married to Nickie Boone Huckabee, and the couple has four children.
